Pet Portraits (2022-2025)

Since my senior year of high school (2022) I have been making pet portraits for my family and friends. My exploration of pet portraits started with my senior project in which I painted 4x6in commemorative pet portraits for community members and donated all proceeds to a local animal shelter. I lost my first pet in my freshman year of high school and knew I wanted something to remember him by as he meant so much to me. I understand how important a pet is to someone's life and I enjoy doing my part in keeping their memory alive. I now work primarily in colored pencils on PastelMat and do both commemorative and normal pet portraits.
